Philip Davies, MP for the Shipley constituency, spent Yorkshire Day supporting the re-opening of the Bingley Market. Philip spoke to various stall holders, local businesses, Councillors and constituents to see how they were coping during COVID and offered support with any queries or concerns.
Philip said “It is fantastic to see the market open again after coronavirus, it is a highlight for many people locally and is a real asset to Bingley.
"I was also pleased to see so many people come out and support the market and local businesses. I hope they will continue support the market when it is next held on Saturday 5th September.”
District and Bingley Town Councillor Geoff Winnard said “It is brilliant to see the market back, especially on Yorkshire Day. I know that the Town Councillors have worked hard to ensure that the market could return safely and it was so satisfying to see such a good turnout of people.”
