Paul Sullivan chosen as Bingley Rural's Conservative Candidate

It is with great pleasure that we announce that  Bingley Rural Conservatives chose Paul Sullivan, a retired police officer and Harden Parish Councillor as candidate for the district council vacancy left by Cllr Simon Cooke’s retirement.

Paul said “I’m delighted and honoured that local members chose me to succeed Simon. Since retiring from the police I’ve been an active volunteer locally with the Wilsden car scheme, Harden lunch club and serving in a community kitchen as well as visiting the housebound with my church group. I also teach newcomers English helping them to play a full role in our communities. The chance to be your local councillor allows me to do more to make our communities great places to live and work. I may still find time to ride my bike and enjoy the fantastic countryside around our villages!”

Cllr Simon Cooke said “I am absolutely delighted that the Bingley Rural Conservatives have chosen Paul to succeed me in the ward. I am confident that, if he is elected, Paul will be a fantastic Councillor for Bingley Rural.”
