Cllr Debbie Davies' thoughts on Ian Clough Hall

Following the Telegraph and Argus article on 20th September "Closure set for Baildon's Ian Clough Hall", Baildon District Cllr Debbie Davies said:

"Ian Clough Hall was built in 1971 and hasn't been well maintained in recent years otherwise the Town Council would have been prepared to take it on as a community asset transfer. It was also hired out to another Council department for the majority of the time at a heavily subsidised rate so it is not surprising it ran at a loss.

I am seeking clarification on the size of the site to be sold and ward councillors are working with Baildon Town Council and BMDC to try and secure the best possible outcome for Baildon to include a sustainable library."
